My Tropheus fish tank is a 55 Gallon 48″ long. Its coupled with another 10 gallon sump that sits under the trickle tower. You can see the filtration build here.
At one time I had all these Tropheus and more split between two tanks. After a bad moving experience involving some fish boarding, I lost around half of them. Namely my prize colony of Tropheus Pemba ” Orange Flame”. They once numbered 50, but now I have only 2 males and one tough female. They’ve started breeding again, so my fingers are crossed that I’ll be able to build it up again.
The tank now holds at least 12 each of the following: (I will update the numbers when I can count them)
Tropheus Pemba “Orange Flame” x3
Tropheus Duboisi “Maswa”
Tropheus Kachese ” Golden Kazumba”
Tropheus Kasanga “Purple Rainbow”
Here’s a close up video of the inhabitants.
More about the tank to follow. Please let me know if you have any questions. I love talking Tropheus.
